SANTA CLARA, California, June 21. MISSY Franklin is always an energetic personality in her post-race interviews, and that was exemplified tonight at the Arena Grand Prix in Santa Clara.

Franklin was able to laugh off the “accident” she had in the 200 backstroke detailing hitting the lane line, and talked at length about her future “Baby Bear” Cierra Runge, who posted a lifetime best in the 200 free. She also discussed Cal’s disappointing performance at the NCAA championships and how the team was able to bounce back from the meet.
