SANTA CLARA, California, June 19. LIKE most people attending the Arena Grand Prix in Santa Clara, Michael McBroom came to California to work on race strategy before the USA Swimming nationals.

In this video interview, he talks about the plan he executed to help him win the 800 free today, and how he was able to stay within himself to beat domestic rival Connor Jaeger. One of the more important aspects of the race, he said, is the final 100 meters of a distance race when everyone is in an all-out sprint.

More video interviews will be available through the weekend on SwimmingWorld.TV!
