IRVINE, California, August 9. EVERYONE expected a thriller in the men’s 100 back, but Olympic and World champion Matt Grevers ran away with the title, clocking a 52.75 that ranks him third in the world behind China’s Jiayu Xu (52.34) and Japan’s Ryosuke Irie (52.57). Afterwards, Grevers shared his feelings on the race and what he thinks he can do to once again threaten the world record, Aaron Peirsol’s 51.92.
