Ohio State senior Lindsey Clary unleashed a blistering final 50 to pass Minnesota’s Brooke Zeiger and win the Winter National title in the women’s 500 free Thursday night. Clary will likely figure into the National title conversation again Friday in the 400 IM and Saturday in the 400 IM.

After her 500 free, Clary spoke about what was going on during that race and how it feels to be in her final season of swimming. She also explained her emotions from watching the Michigan-Ohio State football game last weekend (her brother, 2012 Olympic gold medalist Tyler Clary, went to Michigan) and how she and her teammates reacted to the on-campus violence at Ohio State this week.
