GOLD COAST, Australia, August 21. KATIE McLaughlin is on the world championship team thanks to a bronze medal swim in the 200 butterfly at the Pan Pacific championships, and the 17-year-old talks about the thrilling race in this video interview.

McLaughlin said after prelims she wanted to take the race out hard, and perhaps it was still a blur for her just minutes after exiting the pool, but the elation over joining gold medalist Cammile Adams on Team USA was very evident.
