IRVINE, California, August 6. Though she was nervous before the start of the final of the 200 butterfly at the USA Swimming nationals, Katie McLaughlin remained composed and earned a spot on the Pan Pacific championship team in the event.

The high school senior talked about being in the ready room with Cammile Adams and how she trains to finish her races without a breath for the final 10 meters.
