GOLD COAST, Australia, August 21. KATIE Ledecky had a successful double on the first night of competition at the Pan Pacific championships, winning the 200 free and 800 free. She even chased after her own world record in the 800 less than a half hour after securing the victory in the 200.

In this video interview, she talked about the double, saying she was pleased with getting through two races in a row for the first time at a major international meet. She also talks about going after the world record and racing the 200 free, a relatively new event for her.
