IRVINE, California, August 8. TWO days after a disappointing performance in the 100 free, Jessica Hardy returned to her home pool for her favorite event, the 50 breast, and she swam a meet record in prelims. Hardy said afterwards she was surprised to have swum so fast – 30.21, third in the world this year – in prelims, and she shared her thoughts on racing Breeja Larson in the final.
