GOLD COAST, Australia, August 22. IN this video interview at the Pan Pacific championships, Connor Jaeger admitted he didn’t expect to beat Ryan Cochrane in the 1500 freestyle in Australia, given the Canadian’s fast swim at the Commonwealth Games. But Jaeger took advantage of an opportunity at the 1300-meter mark and got his first international gold medal.
