Video Interview Breeja Larson Lets Rebecca Soni Know 2Brst is in Good Hands

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, June 27. AGGIE Swim Club's Breeja Larson talks about taking the role of the country's best breaststroker by winning the 200 breast at the 2013 USA Swimming nationals. Larson was out to prove that she's more than a “one trick pony,” and that she can be top in the world in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke.

In the Swimming World interview, Larson also credits much of her success in the 200 to focused training, good coaching and not “checking out,” like she did after the 100 breaststroke at the 2012 Olympic Trials.

Women's 200 Breaststroke recap: Longhorn's Laura Sogar pushed the pace early, but paid for it as Aggie Breeja Larson put up the third-fastest time in the world this year in the women's 200-meter breaststroke at the IU Nat as she snuck past her Texas rival.

Larson raced to a winning time of 2:23.44 for the national title, moving to third in the world behind only Rikke Moeller Pedersen (2:20.53) and Rie Kaneto (2:23.11). That's Larson's first time under 2:24 as she crushed her lifetime best of 2:24.80 from this morning. Larson's evolution in the sport is stunning considering she just started swimming competitively as a 17 year old.
