SANTA CLARA, California, June 21. ARKADY Vyatchanin continues to swim fast while waiting for word on a country to represent, and in this video interview after winning the 200 back at the Arena Grand Prix in Santa Clara, he gives viewers an update on his status.

Vyatchanin’s focus meet is the Paris Open in July, and a 1:55.30 in Santa Clara makes him encouraged that he’ll be able to beat his lifetime best. He talked about tapering for the Paris Open, which he’s already started.
