CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, May 17. RUSSIAN Olympian Arkady Vyatchanin is working hard on gearing up for the French Open this year, as well as trying to set himself up to swim for a country other than Russia by the 2015 World Championships.

Vyatchanin has already missed Worlds due to a spat with Russia, and he’s not planning on missing another one.

Vyatchanin is coming off some heavy volume at Florida in the past month, and still managed to post an in-season best in the backstroke tonight. He also explained that he’s shooting for the French Open this year as his big meet.
