Vermont Women’s Swimming and Diving Signs 14 Freshmen

BURLINGTON – University of Vermont women’s swimming and diving Head Coach Gerry Cournoyer has announced the addition of 14 freshmen to the team for the 2015-16 season.

This year’s recruiting class includes: Ashley Branagan (Easton, Massachusetts), Chandler Brandes (South Burlington, Vermont), Julia DeGregorio (Dover, New Hampshire), Colleen Driscoll (Tampa, Florida), Haley Gula (North Easton, Massachusetts), Madie Limaneck (Williston, Vermont), Emily McCormack (Middlebury, Connecticut), Megan McDonald (Newtown, Connecticut), Sara Meyer (Alexandria, Virginia), Kendra Miller (Scituate, Massachusetts), Kristina Posnick (Webster, New York), Danielle Rocheleau (Newington, Connecticut), Audrey Shenkin (Bellingham, Washington), Madison Soucy (West Hartford, Connecticut).

“I’m really excited about the addition of these 14 freshmen to the team. I feel the incoming class will help the program continue to move forward,” commented Cournoyer.

The Catamounts are coming off their most successful season in program history, registering a program-record 662 points at the America East Championships and tying for their best-ever finish with a third-place showing.
