USMS National Records Fall at Janet Evans Invitational

LOS ANGELES, California, June 12. WHILE the Texas Senior Circuit meet sported some Masters world records due to dual sanctioning from USA Swimming and United States Masters Swimming (USMS), the Janet Evans Invitational had a few USMS standards fall.

Paul Carter, 50, broke his 100 fly 50-54 mark with a time of 56.98. The previous standard had been a 59.49. Additionally, Carter decided to swim fly in the 50 free event and posted a time of 26.08.

Erik Hochstein, 39, hit the wall in 52.72 in the men's 35-39 100 free to break the USMS standard of 52.79 set by Mike Ross at the Santa Clara International.

Special thanks to Erik Hochstein for contributing to this report.
