USAS Announces New Officers

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 3. THE United States Aquatic Sports (USAS), the official body that represents the aquatic sports of Swimming, Diving, Synchronized Swimming, Water Polo and Masters Swimming internationally, recently announced its new officers, who will serve through 2008.

President: Richard Foster, a Long Beach, California attorney and former President of USA Water Polo.

Vice-Presidents: Ron Van Pool, of Seattle, Washington and the immediate past President of USA Swimming, and Steve McFarland, of Chesterfield, Missouri and former President of USA Diving.

Secretary: Laurette Longmire, of Los Angeles, California and former President of United States Synchronized Swimming.

Treasurer: Mel Goldstein, of Indianapolis, Indiana and former President of United States Masters Swimming.
