USA Swimming Sectionals, Oklahoma City: Shannon Vreeland, Evan Noble Double

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, March 5. THE second night of long course meter action at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Oklahoma City featured a pair of doubles.

Kansas City Blazer Shannon Vreeland cruised in the women's 200 free with a winning time of 2:03.70, while Aquahawk Danielle Herrmann took second in 2:05.80. Rockwood's Lauren Votava, 16, completed the top three in 2:06.14. CSP's Evan Noble touched out Swim Tulsa's Eastman Holloway, 1:55.66 to 1:55.84, for the men's 200 free crown. Rockwood's Matthew Donch took third in 1:57.66.

Vreeland doubled up with a 5:00.18 in the women's 400 IM. Aquahawk's Emma Reaney placed second in 5:01.14, while Rockwood's Samantha Wright finished third in 5:05.45. Noble also doubled with a 4:38.59 in the men's 400 IM. Tsunami's Ty Fowler picked up second with a 4:38.83, while Kansas City Blazer Nathan Hoisington finished third in 4:44.52.

Reaney then snared the women's 100 breast title in 1:12.11, while Wichita's Nikki Daniels finished second in 1:13.85. Herrmann claimed her second podium with a third-place 1:14.11. Hoisington clinched the men's 100 breast in 1:06.33, while Hawg's Gage Crosby touched second in 1:06.85. Kansas City Blazer Griffin Peavey finished third in 1:07.20.

Millard's Shannon Guy posted a 1:03.06 for the women's 100 fly victory, while Aquahawk Chloe Portela finished second in 1:04.07. Chesapeake's Chelsea Ye wound up third in 1:04.14. Donch turned his 200 free bronze into gold in the men's 100 fly with a 56.50. Tsunami's Jason King touched second in 57.43, while Topeka's Grant Rogers grabbed third in 57.65.

In relays, Aquahawk's Morgan Flannigan, Reaney, Maddy Dalcamo and Herrmann won the women's 800 free relay in 8:37.51. Kansas City Blazers Ben Scheffer, Ben Bravence, Seth Musser and Chris Hearl claimed the men's 800 free relay title in 7:56.88.
