USA Swimming Sectionals, College Station: Jasmine Tosky Breaks Out With Meet Record Trifecta

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, March 6. THE third night of short course yard competition at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in College Station was all about Palo Alto Stanford's Jasmine Tosky. The 15-year-old had a breakthrough evening with a meet-record trifecta.

Tosky opened up the evening with a time of 1:46.07 to win the women's 200 free. That swim eclipsed Lily Moldenhauer's meet record of 1:46.77 set back in 2009. Moldenhauer finished second overall in 1:47.51, while Texas A&M's Hannah Kinder placed third in 1:47.53.

Tosky shot down another Moldenhauer meet record with the former record holder in the pool. Tosky won the women's 100 fly in 52.84 to beat Moldenhauer's 2009 record of 53.19. Moldenhauer wound up fourth in 54.86. Premier's Casey Clark (54.49) and Palo Alto Stanford's Maddie Schaefer (54.51) took second and third.
