USA Swimming Sectionals, Buffalo: Third Night Complete

BUFFALO, New York, August 8. THE third evening of long course meter swimming came to a close at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Buffalo.

Gators' Ali Horn cruised in the women's 200 fly for the title in 2:15.85. Makos' Amanda Kendall took second in 2:17.12, while Long Island's Erica Derlath claimed third in 2:18.98.

Team Pittsburgh's Chris Millen touched first in the men's 200 fly with a 2:04.87. Curl-Burke's James Crabb placed second in 2:05.71, while teammate Nick Tremols clinched third in 2:05.79.

Lehigh Valley's Jessica Guro grabbed the women's 100 back title in 1:02.61. Cougar's Lia Kunnapas touched second in 1:04.35, just beating Curl-Burke's Meredith Monroe (1:04.65).

Longhorn's Bryan Collins raced to a win in the men's 100 back in 56.68. SwimQuest's Michael Covert finished second in 57.91. Schenectady's Spencer Booth completed the top three in 58.21.

Natalie Nichols held off Taylor Sostarecz, 4:22.30 to 4:22.77, in the women's 400 free. Team Pittsburgh's Briana Emig took third in 4:23.52.

Long Island's Sean Lane took home the men's 400 free in 4:02.13. Gators' Seth Wensel earned second in 4:03.26, while Scarlet's James Capparell captured third in 4:06.71.

Curl-Burke's Jayme Katis, Meredith Cavalier, Lauren Poore and Monroe won the women's 800 free relay in 8:27.88. Team Pittsburgh's Otto Pagel, Justin Corvin, Jakeoh Lucas and Chris Millen stopped the clock in 7:44.68 for the men's 800 free relay win.
