UNC Wilmington, College of Charleston vs. North Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Florida, January 6. UNCW returned to action in fine fashion on Friday with a sweep of North Florida and College of Charleston in men and women's swimming action at the UNF Aquatic Center.

The Seahawks improved to 6-6 on the women's side while the men improved to 5-4 with the non-conference win over the Cougars.

In the women's win over host UNF, Rachel Wilson captured the 500 and 1000 Freestyles with times of 5:07.93 and 10:34.92, respectively. Senior Anna Munger won the 100 Free and swam legs of the winning 400 Medley and 400 Freestyle Relays.

On the men's side, Michael Baric added two wins for the Seahawks in the 200 IM and 200 Breaststroke. Valtteri Halonen won the 200 Backstroke and swam on the winning 400 Medley relay. Nick Lowe joined Halonen on the 400 Medley and also swam on the 400 Freestyle Relay.

Both Seahawks squads return to action on Jan. 9, when they compete against Savannah College of Art and Design. The Bees are currently ranked second nationally in the latest NAIA polls.
