Tracy Duchac Leaves Assistant Coaching Post at Arizona to Focus on Motherhood

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 24. TRACY Duchac, who was one of the assistant coaches hired as part of the transition staff for the University of Arizona men's and women's swimming teams, has left her job to focus on the upcoming birth of her first child, the university announced today.

University spokeswoman Susie Epp told Swimming World today that Duchac left “on good terms” with head coach Eric Hansen, who fully supports Duchac's decision. Duchac came to Arizona last year from Texas A&M University, where she was an assistant coach for the women's team for five years. Duchac was primarily working with middle distance swimmers at Arizona.

Duchac married Adam Slusser, whom she met while working at Texas A&M. The two are set to move back to Texas, where Slusser is set to work as an engineer.
