World Premiere of Touch The Wall Brings Swimming Stars To Red Carpet

NEW YORK CITY – Touch The Wall, a movie that follows Missy Franklin at a young age leading up to 2012 London Olympics, premiered in New York this past Sunday.

Touch the Wall is the story of two amazing women and their their journey to swimming’s highest stage – the 2012 London Olympics. The young phenom (Missy Franklin) is just beginning her career and is saddled with mile-high expectations; the veteran (Kara Lynn Joyce) is trying to rediscover the juice that took her the previous two Olympics.  Touch the Wall is a story of winning and losing, of commitment, and triumph through adversity. It’s also a story of family, of loving what you do, and having fun with the people around you. In a world starved for heroes, Missy and Kara stand tall in Touch the Wall.

The live screening took place at Landmark Sunshine Cinema in conjunction with what turned out to be a loaded 2014 Golden Goggles weekend, and the stars certainly showed up in droves to support the movie.

Franklin and mentor Kara Lynn Joyce, both were dressed to the nines on the red carpet.  Directors Grant Barbeito and Christo Brock were also in attendance for the huge reveal.

Swimmers Rachel Bootsma, Caitlin Leverenz, Rebecca Soni, Jessica Hardy, Davis Tarwater, Peter Vanderkaay, Tom Luchsinger and Cierra Runge also were in attendance, along with SwimMAC head coach David Marsh and Q&A emcee Rowdy Gaines.

Swimming World was there to capture everyone in their best dressed attire.
