Alys Thomas out of Wales won the 200 butterfly in the only sub-2:10 time of 2:09.50 while Zhang Yufei took the silver in 2:10.22. The bronze was awarded to Athens Bulldog Hali Flickinger with her 2:10.37. Winner of the 100 backstroke earlier in the session, Regan Smith, took fourth in 2:11.66 while Ciara Schlosshan out of Great Britain took fifth with a 2:11.82. Wales national-teamer Harriet Jones placed sixth while Dakota Luther and Sarah Gibson rounded out the A final in seventh and eighth.
