The Speed Show is Ready to Continue

FEDERAL WAY, Washington, March 26. ALL right, so the collegiate season has come to a close. First, the Auburn women captured their fourth NCAA crown in five years. Then, the Auburn men made it four in a row with a depth-driven triumph over Arizona. But, that doesn't mean fast swimming has ceased.

Beginning Tuesday, the United States Spring Nationals will be held at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington. While many of the big names in American swimming will be absent, several standouts have committed to the event, including Katie Hoff. The multi-event star from the North Baltimore Aquatic Club will race the 200 and 400 I.M. events, the 50, 100 and 400 freestyles and the 200 butterfly.

The meet will also feature Megan Jendrick, the 2000 Olympic champion in the 100 breaststroke. Jendrick will contest the 100 and 200 breast events. Be sure to check in with SwimmingWorldMagazine.com for complete coverage of the competition.
