The Morning Swim Show: USA Swimming Olympic Head Coaches Look Ahead to the Beijing Games; JR Rosania Demonstrates Dryland Exercises to Improve Starts

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 8. Even though it's two days after the Olympic Trials and the USA's swim team is assembled in Palo Alto, Calif., for a training camp, there is still plenty to discuss on today's edition of The Morning Swim Show about the meet.

After discussing the news of Dara Torres' decision to step down from the individual 100 freestyle in the Olympics, host Peter Busch presents highlights from a press conference with men's Olympic head coach Eddie Reese, women's Olympic head coach Jack Bauerle and National Team head coach Mark Schubert about the women's chances against Australia, the men's possibilities in a loaded 400 free relay field and how the Trials were perceived in Australia.

J.R. Rosania comes back after a week off to continue his series on dryland training for sprinters. This week, he offers some exercises to improve starts. Sets with a medicine ball are key in helping swimmers work on reaction times and getting the proper muscles set to respond to quick movements.
