The Morning Swim Show: Sports Wrapup; Russ Bertram Talks About Intricacies of Judging Diving; J.R. Rosania Gives Weightlifting Tips for Sprinters

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 17. THE Tuesday edition of The Morning Swim Show highlights fast swimming, a major water polo upset, Chinese diving dominance, a look into judging diving and tips for sprinters.

Laszlo Cseh's fast swims in the Canet stop of the Mare Nostrum series starts off the show, which segues into a look into the USA women's water polo loss to Russia last weekend.

A large chunk of the show is dedicated to diving. The Chinese are dominating the FINA Diving Grand Prix, and they closed the series by winning all the events. In Reaction Time, five-time USA national champion diver Russ Bertram talks about his new role as a judge for this week's USA Diving Olympic Trials in Indianapolis. Bertram said there is an art and a science to judging and discusses the various levels of scoring a dive.

In Tips and Technique, trainer J.R. Rosania returns to give weightlifting tips that will help sprinters gain more strength and power in the water. Bench press is just one of the many exercises Rosania demonstrates to gain speed.
