The Morning Swim Show: Skip Foster Discusses NCAA Committee Vote to Allow High-Tech Suits in College Swimming; Dryland Tips From J.R. Rosania; Thoughts on Michael Phelps’ Performance on “Saturday Night Live”

PHOENIX, Arizona, September 16. TODAY’S edition of The Morning Swim Show features an interview with one of the members of the NCAA swimming and diving committee, which recently voted to allow high-tech suits in collegiate competitions.

Skip Foster, the assistant to the athletics director at the University of Florida, talks about the events that led up to last week’s decision to allow the suits in NCAA competition, including the spring championships. Foster talks about the many conversations he had with lawyers pertaining to the ramifications of the use of the suits, and reacts to John Leonard’s comment that the decision could cause more universities to drop their swimming programs.

In addition to the interview with Foster, host Peter Busch breaks down news from South Korea involving Tae Hwan Park and from Beijing, where Natalie du Toit was the star of the Paralympics. He also gives his thoughts on Michael Phelps’ performance on last weekend’s “Saturday Night Live.”
