The Morning Swim Show, Nov. 17, 2009: Andrew Gemmell on Nomination for Golden Goggles Award; High Schooler Wins Performance of the Week

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 17. OUR preview of the Golden Goggles Awards continues on The Morning Swim Show with nominee Andrew Gemmell, who talks about the great summer he had at the world championships, winning silver in the 10K open water swim.

Gemmell, a freshman at the University of Georgia and 10K world championship silver medalist, talks about being nominated for a Golden Goggles Award. He also discusses the fun of training at Georgia and what the differences are between pool swimming and open water swimming. Our Performance of the Week goes not to one of the world-record breakers at the FINA World Cup, but to a high school senior setting national high school records.
