Host Brent Rutemiller previews the United States Masters Swimming Short Course nationals and discusses the two hires in collegiate swimming in the news segment.

In Reaction Time, Rutemiller does an interview with Masters world record holder Laura Val, who recently broke two world records at the FINA Masters world championships in Australia and is set to compete in this weekend's Masters nationals in Texas. Val talks about her two new records, the records she almost broke and how she missed watching one of her old records fall in a previous age group. Val had just returned from Australia and was preparing to fly to Austin, Texas. She said she's a little concerned about the jet lag, and discusses the race she's not looking forward to swimming.

Twice a month, Rutemiller takes viewers on a virtual journey through Swimming World Magazine, highlighting some of the features available only to premium subscribers. Some of this month's exclusive features are an interview with Bill Boomer and links to results from the many state high school championships.
