The Morning Swim Show, May 9, 2011: Canada Ready to Perform at World Championships

PHOENIX, Arizona, May 9. THE Canadian national swimming team recently visited Arizona for a weeklong training trip, and on today's edition of The Morning Swim Show we talked with sprint coach Tom Johnson and Swimming Canada CEO Pierre LaFontaine.

Johnson speaks of the reasons for traveling abroad three months before the world championships and how it will help create a bond within the team. He also speaks on his primary charge, Brent Hayden, and his preparation for another run at a world championship title. LaFontaine is excited for the possibilities of the Canadian team at worlds and the Olympics, and his outlook for the team includes possible medals for relays, with the help of the team's veterans.
