The Morning Swim Show, July 27, 2010: Diana Nyad Talks About Preparation for 103-Mile Swim from Cuba to Florida

PHOENIX, Arizona, July 27. DIANA Nyad, considered by many to be the queen of long-distance swimming, joins today's edition of The Morning Swim Show to talk about her preparations for a 103-mile swim from Cuba to Florida – at 60 years old.

Nyad attempted this swim in 1978 but was unsuccessful. She talks about the reasons why she decided to return to the water after 30 years away, and how her recent 24-hour swim off the coast of south Florida prepared her for the swim, one of the longest in history.
