The Morning Swim Show: Dan Hicks Relives Favorite Moment From Beijing Games; Isaac Grombacher Talks About Chances of Third-Straight National H.S. Title

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 2. A look back at one of the most amazing swimming races at the Beijing Olympics and an interview with a top high school coach highlight Thursday's edition of The Morning Swim Show.

Dan Hicks, who was part of the NBC team that called all the swimming races in Beijing, talks with host Peter Busch about how he started calling swimming races for the Olympics in 1996, and how it's helped him become more appreciative of the sport and its athletes. Hicks also breaks down why the men's 400 free relay was one of the best races he's ever called, and what he thinks of NBC's decision to arrange for morning finals in Beijing.

In our High School Thursdays segment, Austin Westlake High School coach Isaac Grombacher talks about his team's chances for a third straight national title, given the fact that his star swimmer, Mary Beck, plans to graduate in December. He also talks about the coaches he had growing up as a swimmer and how they helped shape his coaching style today.
