The Morning Swim Show: Analysis of USA Swimming Annual Awards; University of New Orleans Men’s Coach Randy Horner Talks About Team’s First Meet in 16 Years; JR Rosania and Breaststroke Dryland Tips

PHOENIX, Arizona, September 30. AN interview with the coach of the University of New Orleans men's swim team, which returns after 16 years away, is the focus of Tuesday's edition of The Morning Swim Show.

Host Peter Busch opens the show with a look at the awards handed out last weekend's USA Swimming annual convention, including the Performance of the Year Award. In this week's College Swimming Tuesday segment, Busch talks with Randy Horner, who is leading the University of New Orleans men's swim team this season, their first full season in 16 years.

Horner details the reasons why the team was cut and how it was reinstated. He also talks about the team's first dual meet of the season against Stanford, and how the team swam tough despite being outmatched. He also mentions the team's goals going forward in the season.

Trainer J.R. Rosania has tips for breaststrokers this week to get stronger in the weight room. Using dumbbells and a stability ball, Rosania has exercises that he is certain will improve your breaststroke strength.
