The Bolles School Announces Rick Bishop’s Resignation

JACKSONVILLE, Florida, April 25. IN a recent press release, The Bolles School announced the resignation of Rick Bishop, head coach of its swim club, effective immediately. Bishop has left the program to address family health issues. Assistant coaches Martin Zubero and Jon Sakovich have been named interim head coaches pending the completion of a nationwide search for Bishop's replacement.

"We are saddened by Rick's decision, but wish him and his family well," President and Head of School John E. Trainer, Jr. Ph.D., said in the release. "The swimming program is the hallmark of our many athletic programs offered at Bolles and we are committed to maintaining its quality reputation, its success, and international focus. We have one of the best high school swimming programs in the world and I am confident we will again attract applications from top coaches from schools and colleges from around the globe."

"The Bolles program has a great history of success in swimming," Bishop said. "I know that with the support and leadership that Dr. Trainer gives, he will ensure that the program continues to do great things by bringing in a coach that carries on our high level of success."
