Tara Kirk, Newest World Record-Holder, on Cover of March “Swimming World “Magazine; Get Your Copy

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, March 20. EVERY athlete knows about the "Sports Illustrated jinx."

And most every swimmer knows about the "Swimming World boost." Almost without exception, in the last 12 years swimmers featured on the magazine's cover have gone on, almost immediately, to break records and swim specatcularly.

It's happened again.

Stanford's Tara Kirk, featured on the cover of the current (March) issue of Swimming World, blasted the short course world record in the 100 yard breaststroke last night with a brilliant 1:04.79.
