PHOENIX, Arizona, April 14. THE news of Michael Phelps’ upcoming return to competition next week in Arizona is being covered by all major news outlets, and today, Swimming World’s Jeff Commings was a part of ESPN’s “Sportscenter” to analyze Phelps’ road to Rio.

In the video player below, you can hear from Commings as he discusses the possible reasons why Phelps decided to pick up racing again after more than 18 months away from the sport. Sportscenter host Matt Barrie also brings up the issue of Phelps being 31 when the Rio Olympics begins and whether that’s too old to pursue more medals.
