Swimming World Workout: Weight V Ups, Cabled Freestyle Pull

PHOENIX, Arizona, January 28. SWIMMING World Magazine's Fitness Trainer JR Rosania has returned with a pair of workout clips from his gym. Today's exercises focus on overall strength as well as strengthening the freestyle pull.

This weighted supine single arm and leg V up is performed with ankle weight and a dumbbell in each hand. It takes place on a foam roll for decreased stability.

The exercise ties together the arm stroke with the leg kick through the core. Do three sets of 15-20 repetitions.

This exercise helps develop freestyle pulling power.
