Swimming World Six-Star Promotions: Jessica Guro, Jordan Danny

PHOENIX, Arizona, December 15. OVER the weekend, Jessica Guro and Jordan Danny both reached elite six-star status in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings powered by Take Your Marks.

To be a six-star, a recruit must have a lifetime best short course yard time that would either place them in the past year's A final of an event at the NCAA Division I Championships, or own multiple times that would have reached B finals in the past year.

Guro, who swims for Atlantis Aquatics and has signed with Texas out of the Class of 2009, clocked top times in the 100-yard back (53.60) and 200-yard back (1:55.74). Both times would have made B finals last year.

Danny, who swims for Canyons Aquatics and is headed to the University of Southern California out of the Class of 2009, registered quick times in the 100-yard breast (1:01.19) and 200-yard breast (2:11.69). Both swims would have put Danny into B finals last year.

In previous reporting on the USA Swimming Short Course Junior Nationals, Swimming World announced that Katie Edwards and Deborah Roth also reached six-star status.

If you know of anyone else of high school age that has recorded a time that would have put them into A finals at last year's NCAA Division I Championships, please let us know via Reaction Time.
