Wolfe led Tennessee to a 165-130 triumph over Louisville. He claimed a pair of victories, with wins in the 200 back (1:47.57) and 200 fly (1:47.87). His 200 fly cleared the B-cut standard.

Gordon, on the other hand, set a pair of school records and helped a relay to a school standard in South Dakota's rivalry win over North Dakota, 123-120. Gordon broke the meter records in the 100 back (1:06.29) as part of the women's 400 medley relay, that also set school and pool standards with a time of 4:32.36. Gordon also broke the 200 back school record with a time of 2:24.89. Each of those individual times earned Gordon provisional qualification to NCAAs.
