PHOENIX, Arizona, October 9. DURING the past two weeks, meet managers took full advantage of uploading recent results to the Swimming World meet results section of the website.

AGE GROUP
XXXIX TORNEO CENTRAL AMERICANO
The Piscina Eileen Coparropa in Panama was the site of the XXXIX Torneo Central Americano meet Sept. 25-28.

FRIDAY NIGHT RACES
St. Petersburg Aquatics hosted the Friday Night Races October 4 at the North Shore Pool in St. Petersburg, Florida.

50TH BOB COURTWAY INVITATIONAL
In one of the larger meets in the Arkansas LSC, the Aquakids hosted the 50th annual Bob Courtway Invitational October 4-5 at Hendrix College in Conway.

Two 10-year-old boys rewrote state and/or LSC records. Andrew Rogers of Dolphin-Laser rewrote the 500 yard free time with his 5:49.91, setting both the state and Arkansas LSC marks. Kade Cross from CASC Racers lowered the state standard in the 50 back to 31.06.

10th BULADO MEET
The Bulado Swimming Club hosted the 10th Balado meet at the Rust & Burgh, Asiento, in Curacao October 4-6.

LIS HARTLEY LONG COURSE OPPORTUNITY MEET
The Crawley Swimming Club of Sussex, England, hosted the Lis Hartley Long Course Opportunity Meet Oct. 6 at the K2 pool in Sussex.

COLLEGE
BULLDOG-BADGER BATTLE
The University of Georgia Bulldogs swept the University of Wisconsin Badgers at their dual meet October 4-6 in Athens, Georgia. The final score on the men’s side was 179-139, while the Lady Bulldogs secured their 84th straight home victory by a score of 182-136.

Four swimmers secured “B” swims in hopes of competing at the NCAA Championships next March: Georgia’s Chase Kalisz (men’s 200 and 400 IM, 1:47.65 and 3:48.39), Melanie Margalis (women’s 500 free, 4:46.47; 200 breast, 2:13.70) and Amber McDermott (women’s 1650 free, 16:22.80; 400 IM, 4:17.70), plus Wisconsin’s Ivy Martin (women’s 50 and 100 free, 22.38 and 49.09).

Others posting “B” times included Georgia’s Hali Flickinger (women’s 200 back, 1:58.92), Tynan Stewart (men’s 200 back, 1:45.96), Chantal Van Landeghem (women’s 50 free, 22.80) and Annie Zhu (women’s 400 IM, 4:19.31), as well as Wisconsin’s Aja Van Hout (women’s 200 IM, 2:02.39).
