Surprise, Arizona Seeks Recreation Coordinator and Club Swim Coach

SURPRISE, Arizona, January 24. THE city of Surprise is looking to hire a Recreation Coordinator and club swim coach.

Job Title: Recreation Coordinator – Club swim coach
Class Title: Recreation Coordinator
Department: Community and Recreation Services
Reports To: Recreation Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Status: Part time; Non-Classified
Salary Grade: C-4-2 (rc)

Incumbents provide skilled professional coaching for a club swim team including coordinating, implementing, maintaining and evaluating a club swim program. Responsibilities include preparing and coordinating the master schedule, overseeing the progression of athletes and training program for multiple age groups, including the recruitment and supervision of assistant coaches ,officials, and volunteers. Incumbents also perform administrative duties such as compiling data, maintain program budget, preparing reports, marketing the program and soliciting bids as well as providing quality customer service.

Bachelors Degree and 3 years swim coach experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

CPR and First Aid, Coaches Safety Training must be completed within 6 weeks of hire.
