Streamlined News: Daley Back on Platform, Highlighting New Age Group Record


PHOENIX, Arizona, February 12. TOM Daley is back on the platform, winning another national title last weekend in Great Britain. Daley is going to be a major force at this summer's world championships, where he will be looking to reclaim the world title he won in 2009. As you may remember, Daley won the bronze on the platform at the London Olympics in a very close three-way battle. Daley said the big challenge in the year after the Olympics is working on newer and harder dives while sharpening his current ones.

Yesterday we learned of a new national age group record in the 10-and-under boys 100 breaststroke, set by KING Aquatics' Ethan Dang with a 1:07.25. Dang took more than a second off Michael Andrews' record and as you can see here, has a very impressive stroke at 10 years old. Dang now owns the national age group records in the short course and long course 100 breaststrokes in that age group.
