Morning Swim Show 2015 NCAA Splashback: Stanford Coach Greg Meehan

Greg Meehan

Stanford coach Greg Meehan feels his team’s third place finish is “about as meaningful as a finish can be.” In the final night of NCAAs, the Cardinal women lit up the waters of the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Freshman Simone Manuel and sophomore Lia Neal went 1-2 in the 100 free in the final session of NCAAs. Manuel reinforced her reputation as the most reliable anchor in NCAA history as Stanford broke the American record in the 400 free relay to polish of a spectacular meet.

Greg Meehan appeared to be soaking in the moment as he settled in to talk to Swimming World. Here he chats about relay pride, this Stanford team’s grit, and his two sprinters finishing the meet in style.
