St. Andrews Presbyterian College Jumps into the Pool

LAURINBURG, North Carolina, December 12. DURING a time where many schools are cutting their swimming programs, St. Andrews Presbyterian College is moving in another direction. The North Carolina school recently announced it is adding men's and women's swim programs beginning in the fall of 2007. The school competes at the Division II level.

"With St. Andrews enjoying a growing enrollment each year of the last four, we welcome the addition of women's and men's swimming to our field of competitive athletics," said Howard Reichner, the Athletic Director. "Swimmers are known for their dedication and hard work in the classroom as well as the pool. We look forward to getting these student-athletes on the St. Andrews campus."

The school will announce its first coach shortly and is a member of the Bluegrass Mountain Conference.
