SPMA Masters Turkey Shoot SCM Meet Features World Records

WOODLAND HILLS, California, November 20. OVER the weekend, a pair of Masters world records fell at the SPMA Masters Turkey Shoot short course meter meet held in Woodland Hills, Calif. Jeff Farrell, 70, and Robert Strand, 61, both surpassed previous standards.

Farrell took down the 70-74 men's 50 SCM free standard with a time of 28.00. That performance eclipsed the 28.55 set by Ronald Johnson on Oct. 5, 2003. Meanwhile, Strand lowered his 60-64 men's 50 SCM breast record of 33.54 from May 21, 2006 with a winning time of 33.43.
