Southwest Classic: Ashley Neidigh, Thomas Fraser-Holmes Win Distance Events

TUCSON, Arizona, June 10. THE first evening of long course meter swimming at the Southwest Classic came to a close with titles in the women's 800 free and men's 1500 free being awarded.

Bolles' Ashley Neidigh won the women's 800 free in 9:09.02, while Tucson Ford's Susana Helms finished second in 9:10.46. Wild West's Sam Harding completed the podium with a third-place effort of 9:14.09.

The Australian contingent swept the top two spots in the men's 1500 free. Thomas Fraser-Holmes topped the distance race in 15:39.33, while teammate Patrick Murphy captured second in 15:40.74. Sun Devil's Xavier Mohammed rounded out the top three in 15:57.37.
