South African National Age Group 3 Championships: Jessica Liss Breaks More National Age Group Records

EAST LONDON, South Africa, March 9. PORT Elizabeth teenage swim sensation Jessica Liss completed her third competitive gala in as many weeks in the best way possible, by smashing the national 200 meter breaststroke and 100 butterfly records in the 12 years age category on the final day of the Telkom SA National Level Age Group Championships at the Joan Harrison Swimming Pool.

Liss continued her golden swimming spree in claiming the 200 meter breaststroke honors in 2:29.70, bettering the previous mark of 2:29.77, before winning the 100 meter butterfly title in 1:06.45, eclipsing the previous mark of 1:06.68.

While Liss reigned supreme in her age group, national 200 and 400 meter individual medley senior record-holder Jessica Pengelly made it on to the winners' podium, in claiming top honors in the 200 meter breaststroke (2:32.99) and 200 meter backstroke (2:18.64) in the 16 years category.
