Slovenia Open: Three Slovenian Records Fall

KRANJ, Slovenia, June 16. A trio of Slovenian records fell at the Slovenia Open held in Kranj over the weekend.

Sara Isakovic opened the weekend with a national record in the women's 400 free. She clocked a time of 4:06.37 to whack nearly two seconds from her newly-minted standard of 4:08.10 from April. The time jumped Isakovic into 12th in the world this year.

A few days later, Anja Carman lowered her own national standard in the women's 100 back with a time of 1:02.57. She dipped under her previous standard of 1:02.79 set last December.

Teja Zupan then downed the women's 1500 free national record on the final day with a time of 16:45.46. Carman previously owned the record with a 16:47.40 from back in 2003 before she transitioned to a focus on backstroke events.
