Single-Session Tickets Go On Sale for FINA World Swimming Championships Tomorrow Tickets As Low As $10 to see Phelps, Coughlin and More Swim at Conseco Fieldhouse

Indianapolis, Ind., August 12. THE Organizing Committee for the upcoming 7th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) will celebrate the start of the Athens Olympics Games by releasing Single-session tickets for as low as $10 through Ticketmaster Friday, Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. EST.

The 2004 World Swimming Championships take place Oct. 7-11 in Conseco Fieldhouse. More than 900 swimmers – including American world-record holders Michael Phelps (Towson, Md.), Natalie Coughlin (Concord, Calif.), Brendan Hansen (Havertown, Pa.), Amanda Beard (Irvine, Calif.), Ian Cocker (Portland, Me.) and Aaron Peirsol (Irvine Calif.) – from more than 120 countries are expected to compete.

Olympic gold medalists Jenny Thompson (Dover, N.H.), Lindsay Benko (Elkhart, Ind.) and Yana Klochkova of the Ukraine will also compete.

Single-session tickets will be available in each of the four price levels. “Splash Zone” tickets in the Krieg DeVault Club Level of Conseco Fieldhouse will be $48 for finals and $15 for preliminaries. Gold Level tickets will be $35 for finals and $15 for prelims. Silver Level will be $25 for finals and $10 for prelims. Bronze Level will be $15 for finals and $10 for prelims.

Throughout the Oct. 7-11 event, preliminaries sessions will begin at 9:30 a.m., while finals sessions begin at 7 p.m. The lone exception is the finals session on Thursday, Oct. 7, which will begin at 6 p.m. and include Opening Ceremonies for the 2004 FINA World Swimming Championships (25m).

Tickets will be available first-come, first-served through Ticketmaster at all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster charge-by-phone numbers (1-317-239-5151 in Central Indiana) and at the Conseco Fieldhouse box office.

Single-day tickets, which are good for both sessions (morning preliminaries and evening finals) on that day, remain available in each of the four price levels. “Splash Zone” tickets are $60, Gold Level are $50, Silver Level are $35 and Bronze Level are $25.

All-session tickets also remain on sale for the World Championships (25m). Splash Zone tickets are available for $300 and Gold Level tickets are $250. Both All-Session ticket packages are in premium seats located in the Krieg DeVault Club Level.

Both Single-day and All-session tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

In addition, group ticket packages are on sale now. Priority seating placement will be given to groups who order 10 or more tickets to any day of competition and multiple-day ticket orders. Taking place in a short course (25 meters) format, the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) will feature the world's elite swimmers just six weeks after the Athens Olympic Games. Conseco Fieldhouse ­ the home of the NBA's Indiana Pacers and one of the most acclaimed sporting venues in the world – will house a temporary 25-meter 300,000-gallon competition pool and a 175,000-gallon warm-up pool. It will be the first time a swimming event has taken place in an NBA arena.
