"I was very pleased with our performance today," remarked Hopkins. "Cal State Bakersfield has a strong program. We had a goal coming in of winning 12 of the 14 swimming events, and we did that. We also set a goal to finish no worse than second on both diving boards, and we accomplished that as well. It was a very cold meet, and our times were good considering the weather conditions.

"Lauren Mar was our top performer for this meet. She contributed to the winning 200 medley relay, and won three individual events."
