Sacred Heart’s Ally Howe Lowers Own 100 Back High School Mark

SANTA CLARA, California, May 17. A day after taking down the national independent school record in the girls 100-yard back, Sacred Heart Prep’s Ally Howe cleared the record again during finals of the CIF Central Coast Section Championships.

Last night, Stanford commit Howe clocked a 51.84 in prelims to beat Missy Franklin’s independent record of 52.30. Tonight, she went even faster with a sizzling 51.54. She missed taking down Olivia Smoliga’s overall and public school record of 51.43 set a year ago.

Earlier in the night, Howe also won the 200-yard IM in 1:57.75 to beat Jasmine Tosky’s sectional record of 1:57.94 from 2009.
